Friday, May 17

2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Children’s Activities

  • Children’s Tours of the Monument – Explore the Monument with “In Her Shoes” Guide

  • Storytime – “Three Little Kittens Who Lost Their Mittens” by Eliza Follen (author, represented in the Monument)

  • Game – Plant and Animal Matching Game with Monument

  • Coloring & Crafts

  • Fun music

  • Enjoy our Cookie Towers (Yum! Yum!)

 

5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Open House "LexSeeHer Under the Stars"

  • Join us under the Big Tent for a delightful evening!

  • Bring your own dinner from home or get takeout from one of our local restaurants

  • Indulge in our tempting Dessert Bar 

  • Enjoy our tribute to astrophysicist Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin. Portrayed in the Monument, Cecilia was a distinguished resident of Lexington and a pioneering scientist whose groundbreaking discoveries revolutionized our understanding of the cosmos.

  • Live Jazz Duo (piano and saxophone) from the Boston

  • Music Project starts at 6pm
